Education
Schools and education
Tailored IT support for schools and education settings. We keep safeguarding and data protection in view and we agree the scope before any testing.

IT support for settings
We look after the day-to-day technology a school or education setting relies on. That includes email and accounts, devices, shared files, backups and a clear route to ask for help. Remote first and on-site in Dorset when the work needs a visit.
IT risk assessments
We assess IT risk with safe, agreed testing of ransomware and malware prevention. Nothing starts until the setting has agreed the scope in writing. The checks cover:
- Phishing simulation with a clear briefing for staff
- Backup and recovery checks so a restore is proven and not assumed
- Patching and endpoint review
- Access and account review including leavers and shared logins
You get a clear written report and a short list of priorities. We do not run surprise exercises and we do not place malware on a live network.
Talks with students
We talk with students about real-world IT careers and opportunities. The session comes from the CX1 team and it ties into our talks and insights. We keep it practical and we do not present it as one person's career story.
Staff training and workshops
Practical sessions for staff. We can cover cyber awareness, safe use of AI, data protection basics and a short hands-on workshop. The aim is steps people can use the next day.
Safeguarding and standards
Work is written with safeguarding and data protection in mind. Wording and priorities are aligned with Department for Education cyber standards for schools. Alignment is not a certification. We do not claim a badge, an accreditation or a scheme membership we do not hold.
How engagement works
- A monthly plan for ongoing support and follow-up
- A one-off assessment with a written report and priorities
- A one-off workshop for staff or a student careers talk
- Pricing agreed up front before work starts

Questions we hear
Do you hold a cyber certification for schools?
No. We do not claim Cyber Essentials, a DfE badge or any certification we do not hold. We can still prepare practical basics and write the findings so a setting can use them.
Will you run a live ransomware attack?
No. Testing is agreed in writing first. We check prevention with phishing simulation, backup and recovery checks, patching and endpoint review and access and account review. We do not drop malware on a live network.
Can you talk with students about IT careers?
Yes. The CX1 team can run a session on real-world IT careers and opportunities. It is a team talk and it sits with our talks and insights. We do not present it as one person's story.
How do we start and what does it cost?
A monthly plan, a one-off assessment or a one-off workshop. The price is agreed up front before any work starts.
